Thank you Chris, I have been concerned about this issue. Another example of our dualistic thinking. I do believe we can support both without diluting one. It will promote more respect between groups and less victim think. I do have some concern with the first solution point. Having the males be a year older in Middle school may result in more social issues. This option may require more study or creative tweeks. - Helen
Thanks Chris for raising the issue that so many parents feel yet is rarely raised in our respective state of the school settings, how to raise responsible productive young men. It is in all our interests to do that, but the messages given to our young men are not well balanced. It's time to have the discussion and work towards better outcomes.
