I sat in on an interesting discussion on Clubhouse which opened the floor to address what many participants referred to as "Chinese tech myths." It was a thoughtful, unemotional exchange in English, led by two respected figures in the tech and business community in China and attracted a significant audience, many sharing their own stories in similar veins.
Thanks for this, very interesting stuff. Some of it certainly reflects current thinking, probably some of it is what they feel comfortable expressing in a semi-public forum. One of the most fascinating points made is that Chinese companies are thinking of the Chinese market because it is so big and not always thinking about markets outside China. I can remember years ago when asking a Seattle company if they were thinking of exporting that they answered, "We already are, to California." If China continues to develop, the same phenomenon could build there.
Thanks for sharing, Chris.
